Asset Metadata

Each asset can be described using metadata. The metadata can be grouped into one or more metadata view that contain one or more metadata field. The ACL can be used to give read and write permissions to user and user groups for a metadata view.

Update metadata

There are two ways which one can update metadata.

Through the search page

Go to the search page.

1. Right click on the asset which you want to update metadata for.
2. Click on Update Metadata.
3. Change the metadata fields you wish to update.
4. Press UPDATE to update the field.

From the asset's page

Go to the Asset's page that you want to update metadata for.

1. Open the Asset Metadata tab.
2. Select which metadata views you wish to update. Remember some fields will be the same for multiple views.
3. Change the metadata fields you wish to update.
4. Press UPDATE to update the field.

Bulk editing metadata

This is possible from the search page

You can also apply metadata changes to all content of a collection or a saved search.
