Roles

These are the roles that are needed:

  • Admin
  • Can delete transcoders
  • Can read transcoders
  • Can write transcoders

iconik Edge Transcode

You can use iconik's Edge Transcoder to transcode supported formats on your Cloud Storage. The iconik Edge Transcoder is deployed on your cloud instances (such as a virtual instance with multiple cores in a location/region close to or the same as the region that your Cloud storage is on.)

transcoders

  1. Click on ADMIN in the top navigation.
  2. Choose Transcoders from the left navigation bar by pressing .
  3. Click on the transcoder from the list which you wish to update.

Parameters

  • Name - Name for reference
  • Cloud Transcoder - Should be set for iconik Edge Transcoders
  • Transcoder Type - Should be "iconik Edge Transcoder"
  • *Max number of simultaneous jobs - The maximum number of transcodes that will happen at the same time. As a rough guide this should be the number of processing cores divided by 4. For example: 16 cores / 4 = 4 as the max number of jobs.
