These are the roles that are needed:

  • Asset
  • Search
  • Can read saved searches

Access Control management on Saved Search

You can apply Access Control (ACLs) to a saved search to manage who can see the saved search.

How to apply bulk Access Control to Saved Searches

  1. Open the Search view
  2. Open the Saved Search panel
  3. Click on the menu or right click for the Saved Search that you wish to manage
  4. Choose Access Control
  5. This will open the Access Control modal dialog
  6. Choose the users and groups from the menu which you wish to have the same access control. You can also type to search in these boxes.
  7. Choose the permission that you want to give.
    • Read: Will give read only access. They won't be able to change anything.
    • Write: Will give them ability to change the asset.
    • Delete: Will give them the ability to delete the asset.
    • Change Access Rights Will give them the ability to change the Access Control further.
  8. Click to save the current ACL.
  9. Click on to close the Modal.

Removing Access

Go to the saved search again page that you want to remove access from.

  1. Open the Search view
  2. Open the Saved Search panel
  3. Click on the menu or right click for the Saved Search that you wish to manage
  4. Choose Access Control
  5. This will open the Access Control modal dialog.
  6. Click on the dots icon next to the user or group you wish to remove the access control for or right click on the row
  7. Select Remove Permission.
  8. Click on to close the Modal.

Changing Access Rights

There are two ways in which one can change the access rights of a Saved Search. Either by changing each users and groups access one by one or by setting multiple users and group to have the same access control.

To change each user one by one open the access control panel (following the instructions above) then:

  1. Click on the dots icon next to the user or group you wish to change access control for.
  2. Select Edit permission.
  3. Remove or add the access controls you wish for that user or group to have
  4. Click on UPDATE

To change the users and groups all together open the access control panel then:

  1. Click on the add icon in the lower right corner of the Access Control Panel.
  2. Choose a user or group from the menu. You can also type to search in these boxes.
  3. Choose the permission that you want to give.
  4. Click to save.
