Release 24.02.0

Features

  • Final Cut Pro export settings are now remembered between exports to simplify the export process. It's also possible to tell the Agent to just use the latest settings and not ask again. These settings can be changed in the Agent preferences.

Bug fixes

  • The Agent now properly retries 50X errors when uploading to Backblaze storages
  • When an upload to AWS has expired the Agent will now restart it from the beginning instead of just failing.
  • Don't check if a file exists for storages that have UUID filenames enabled.

  • Resolves an issue where it was not possible to resume downloads if the Agent had previously crashed. It looked like the downloads were still running after the Agent had restarted but no progress was made. Downloads should now always be correctly reset to a paused state when the Agent starts and can be resumed.

  • Support for downloading from shares. The Agent can now be used to download assets and collection from shares. Just open a share in the web interface and make sure that the Agent is running. When you issue a download either by right clicking an asset or collection in the list or by using the cog wheel menu it will download using the Agent.

  • Revealing files on a mounted ISG now works as expected if the ISG is not using the same OS as the Agent client machine. In previous versions the paths were not converted correctly.

  • The Agent now creates download file history events when downloading.

  • Auto login when downloading. The Agent now supports passing login information from the iconik web to the Agent when triggering a download. This means that you no longer need to explicitly login to start a download. As long as the Agent is running in the background you are able to start downloads.
  • The Agent now checks the system keychain as well as the users keychain when looking for the Agent certificate on macOS. This simplifies installing the Agent using MDM software like JAMF.

  • Resolves an issue where uploading to default storages would not work if the user did not have permissions to access that storage.
  • Resolves an issue where the auto update banner would not show up after closing and reopening the main window even though an update was available.

Features

  • Prompt for location on each download. It is now possible to get asked for download location on each download instead of the Agent using the default configured destination each time. This can be toggled on in the Agent settings.
  • Use the systems local trust store. The Agent will now use your systems locally trusted certificates when making network calls. This is useful in some VPN ot Proxy configurations where custom certificates have been locally installed and trusted.

  • Asset title and metadata can now be edited after an upload has started.
  • Resolves an issue where the Agent would not notice that collections had been deleted and would sometimes upload to already deleted collections instead of creating new ones.
  • When cancelling downloads the Agent will no longer leave empty directories after deleting partial files in those directories.
