Transcription View
Transcriptions for an asset can be viewed on the asset's transcription panel. They can also be played back in time with the video.
Opening Transcriptions
- Go to the asset that has the transcription.
- Click on the icon on the left to open the transcription panel.
- In the Transcription panel that appears you will see the transcriptions.
Transcriptions window
The transcription window contains functionality to help you view the text of the transcription
Search
You can search the text that is in transcription using the search at the top of the panel.
Speaker and Timed view
You can switch between the views of the transcription from Text, where the text of the transcription is divided up by the Speaker, or by timecode against the video.
Speaker view
When the transcriptions are shown in speaker view the following interactions can take place:
- Clicking on a word will jump the video to the relevant frame in the video.
- Clicking on a word will show the offset of the word in timecode from the start of the video.
- Clicking and dragging across multiple words will highlight those words and select a region in the video player.
Timecode view
When the transcriptions are shown in timecode view the following interactions can take place:
- Hovering over the transcription will shown a play button that plays the video for the relevant transcription.
- Clicking on the speaker or the text will enter editing mode.
