These are the roles that are needed:

  • Admin

Access Control for Admin Pages

The Access Control for entities that you control in the Admin pages are all defined and changed in the same way.

Access the Access Control

  1. Click on ADMIN in the top navigation.
  2. Typical places ACLs are applied are Users Groups, Metadata, Storages, Transcoders, Custom Actions or Export Locations.
  3. Choose the specific user, group, metadata view, storage, transcoder or export location which you wish to change access to.
  4. Click on Access Control in the bar next to the leftmost bar.
  5. You can now access the access control for this entity.

Add a user or user group to access control

On the access control:

  1. If you need to, click on ADD PERMISSIONS
  2. A dialog will appear for adding an ACL.
  3. Choose the users and groups from the menu which you wish to have the same access control. You can also type to search in these boxes.
  4. Choose the permission that you want to give.
    • Read: Will give read only access. They won't be able to change anything.
    • Write: Will give them the ability to change the asset.
    • Delete: Will give them the ability to delete the asset.
    • Change Access Rights Will give them the ability to change the Access Control further.
  5. Click to save.

Remove user/group from access control

On the access control:

  1. Click on the dots icon next to the user or group you wish to remove the access control for.
  2. Select Remove Permission.

Edit user/group from access control

On the access control:

There are two ways to change the access rights of an asset:

  • You can change each user's and group's access one by one
  • You can also set multiple users and group to have the same access control.

To change each user one by one open the access control panel then:

  1. Click on the dots icon next to the user or group you wish to change access control for.
  2. Select Edit Permission.
  3. Remove or add the access controls you wish for that user or group to have
  4. Click to save.

To change the users and groups all together open the access control panel then:

  1. Click on the add icon in the lower right corner of the Access Control Panel.
  2. Choose a user or group from the menu. You can also type to search in these boxes.
  3. Choose the permission that you want to give.
  4. Click to save.
