Metadata View Administration

iconik lets you add and change metadata views by adding only the metadata fields the users of that view need to see.

Adding Metadata Views

  1. Click on ADMIN in the top navigation.
  2. Choose Metadata from the left navigation bar.
  3. Choose Metadata Views from the menu that appears from under the Metadata icon.
  4. Type a Name into the New Metadata View and click the plus icon.
  5. The View will appear below.
  6. Click on the metadata view's name in the list.
  7. You can now choose the fields that you wish to add from the right.

Updating Metadata Views

On the Admin page:

  1. Choose Metadata from the left navigation bar.
  2. Choose Metadata Views from the menu that appears from under the Metadata icon.
  3. Select the metadata view you wish to update.
  4. Make the changes you wish to do:
    • To add fields to the view press the green arrow next to the field you wish to add.
    • To remove fields from the view press the red arrow next to the field you wish to remove.
    • To add a divider press the divider icon . If you wish you can add a title for the divider.
    • To reorder the fields and dividers in the view drag and drop it where you want it to be.

Removing Metadata Views

On the Admin page:

  1. Choose Metadata from the left navigation bar.
  2. Choose Metadata Views from the menu that appears from under the Metadata icon.
  3. Select the metadata view you wish to remove.
  4. Click on the gear in the upper right corner.
  5. Select delete.
  6. Confirm that you want to delete the field by pressing
